Living Atmosphere Control Systems (LACS) was designed and made in Canada. For over 8 years Inventor Brad Reid from Ontario has been developing biofiltration systems that focus on increasing the cleaning advantages of plants. Advanced Science

  • Plants produce beneficial fungi and microorganisms that help clean the air. Our organic growing medium supports the formation of these beneficial organisms and puts them to work for you. 

  • Water does more than help plants grow.  Our patented system uses liquid coated surfaces to help collect and trap particles from the air like a magnet. Our clever system then rinses itself clean during regular watering, trapping air debris in liquid, where our plants can more easily consume the particles for nutrients. 

  • Each modular plant cell increases the surface area that cleans the air by over 4X compared to a flat mesh surface . This allows each modular plant cell to provide the most air cleaning benefits possible. One plant cell provides over 64-inches squared of surface area that actively traps and consumes VOC's.

  • Our system grows plants in soil and clay which improves retention of water and nutrients and maintains plant health. 

  • Plants naturally grow upwards. In vertical applications like walls, this leads to plants  crowding each other as they mature, requiring more maintenance. Our horizontal purifiers provide superior conditions for ongoing plant health and maintenance . 

  • Our natural air purifiers use a modular planting system for easy plant maintenance.

  • LACS modular plant cells allow users to remove and insert different plants easily. So you can switch up your layout, or change plants whenever you like.

  • Our use of organic soil and clay growing mediums provides a thicker filter barrier capturing more airborne pollutants versus mesh materials commonly used in biofilters.

Our patented LACS technology is an advanced biofiltration process that increases the natural air cleaning abilities of plants by over 4x. It is our mission to increase the efficiency of biofiltration to new limits and provide air quality control solutions that sustainably maintain a safe environment for human occupants. 

 

By using plants and microbes to trap and consume compounds from the air, we are replacing the need for filters that end up in landfills.
